Water and Dry Ice Information: NYC

Water-On-the-Go drinking fountains are at six Manhattan locations with high incidence of power failure, as well as to first responders in the Breezy Point neighborhood in Rockaway. Water-On-the-Go will serve residents in these areas from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily until power is restored.

  • 23rd Street and 8th Avenue
  • 23rd Street and 2nd Avenue
  • 14th Street and 8th Avenue
  • Houston Street and 6th Avenue
  • Canal Street and Centre Street
  • Monroe Street

The city will also be distributing bottled water and food. Each person can take three meals and five bottles of water, and people are urged to bring their own bags to carry the supplies home. CLICK HERE for information on locations.


Con Edison will distribute dry ice at seven locations until 6 p.m. or until supplies run out. The locations are:

  • Brooklyn – Walgreen’s, 532 Neptune Ave. (between W. 5th & 6th Streets)
  • Bronx – 1846 Radcliff Avenue (Between Morris Park Avenue & Rhinelander Avenue)
  • Queens – Francis Lewis Playground PS130 at Francis Lewis Blvd & 42 Avenue
  • Staten Island – The entrance to Great Kills Park on Buffalo Street
  • Westchester County – IBM Complex/Town Park at Business Park Dr. parking lot. Set GPS for 200 Business Park Drive
  • Yonkers Raceway – 810 Yonkers Avenue
  • Manhattan – Union Square Park
