Big Help Needed (10/15): Rochester

Rochester needs 150 volunteers to help on Saturday 10/15 to clean up the riverbeds that were wrecked by Irene. Please meet at the Town Offices at 10 am. Wear boots and work gloves, and bring your lunch and water to drink. If you are skilled with and own a chainsaw, please bring that as well.

Can’t make it to volunteer? Consider donating to the Town of Rochester’s Irene fund, which will help defray costs of things like dumpsters and fuel. A single dumpster, which is an absolute necessity for cleaning up, costs $700 dollars.

  2. Might shovels be useful? Axes? Pry bars? Sledge hammers? Ropes? What, exactly, will we be working on? Maybe some pictures would help us decide what kind of tools to bring.
