Help Needed (ongoing): Rutland

We would appreciate any volunteers that you could send our way.  We have many opportunities for volunteers, including a volunteer shopper and/or someone to accept and distribute donated items for clients.

Please meet at the Recovery Center around 8:30 am for the morning or any time during the day.

The Center is located at 263 South Main Street in Rutland.  It is the old Smith Buick Building.  The phone number is 802-773-1739.

Can someone tell me where I can bring serious VT-style winter clothing for 6 year-olds and younger? We have heard that this is needed – sounds like perhaps these families & their neighbors may need this. My son’s first grade class wants to collect kids clothes and give them to the smaller kiddoes who may have lost them in the floods… winter’s coming! Thanks.

The Rutland County Women’s Network & Shelter happily accepts and makes available to those in need, clean and new/ gently used winter clothing for women, men, and especially children. Our office is located at 101 Grove Street, Rutland, VT and can be dropped off between 9am-4pm M-F. You can contact me by email if any questions.
