10 or more people are needed to help on Saturday and Sunday (9/24 and 9/25) in Riverside Mobile Home Park in West Woodstock. Help is needed to clean out debris from under mobile homes, raking out dirt under homes as well in yards to smooth them, and shoveling hard pack. Some help is still needed to clear debris. Work will begin at 9 am.
Volunteers can show up any time and check in with the self-run volunteer tent located just inside the park behind the mailboxes to the left. There is a white board that will list jobs that need to be done. Once they decided on a job, mark the white board with a red dot, take the house check list off the clipboard and go to work.
Bring shovels, rakes and wheelbarrows. Wear sturdy boots, pants and work gloves. There is some need for power saws. N95 masks would be helpful. Please bring your lunch and water.
From the Center of Woodstock, VT…. Drive on Route 4 west for about 1.4 miles, take a left on Mill rd (if you pass the high school you have gone 100 yards too far), go over the metal bridge, at stop sign take a right on Carlton Hill Dr-drive .5 miles, take a right on to Riverside Park Rd–drive 0.8 miles and the entrance to the park will be on your right. Please park on the right hand side leaving the road clear.
