Help Needed (9/16, 9/17 and 9/18): White River Junction

Volunteer carpenters, baseboards, skilled labor, and even unskilled labor are urgently needed at the new construction site for Taste of Africa in White River Junction!

For those of you who may not have heard, Taste of Africa, a beloved local family catering business, was wiped out in the storm just days before completing their kitchen renovation.
With no flood insurance, they  lost upwards of $150k in equipment they owned outright.   They are back at square one, working to secure low interest loans to rebuild, and have found a new space at 43 Pine Street, White River Junction (the old Hartford Motor Building across from White River School, just below Stearns Vegetables).

Arrive any time Friday through Sunday with work gloves, work clothes, and willing hands.  Finish carpenters are especially helpful.  Even a few hours of your time can make a difference in the outcome for Mel and Damaris.

Please call with questions:  802.272.5950.  If you’re short on time or skills but would like to help, you can make a contribution to their rebuild at http://www.melsgourmet.com.

Thank you so much,

Friends of Taste of AFrica”
