One Response to Help Needed: South Royalton

  1. Rep Sarah Buxton says:

UPDATE: By the end of today (Sat), we will finish Phase 1 (recovery) of “Operation Revive Royalton.” Phase 2 (rebuild) will take many months and many volunteer hours. Our physical presence at the South Royalton High School ends this evening. A HUGE THANK YOU to the school, Sean Pickett and the wonderful staff here for letting us set up shop!

Our efforts to rebuild need leaders, organizers, special equipment and people with specialized skill. Those who can oversee this effort to help our neighbors are encouraged to post here or email operationreviveroyalton@gmail.com

Our sister towns of Bethel and Sharon still need help. Volunteers should check-in at the Bethel Town Hall or Sharon Elementary School today, tomorrow and Monday.

Finally, our work could not have been so successful if it wasn’t for the selfless contributions of hundreds of people. Thank you to the volunteers who shoveled, demolished and cleaned; the folks who donated food, prepared it, and fed volunteers and victims; the team who answered phones, solicited for $ and donations; the organizers who managed sites, bodies, and skills; and the people who helped us keep track of it all. Your time, patience, compassion and talents deserve great praise and appreciation. Thank you.

More information will be shared about “what’s next?” … as soon as it sorts itself out.

    With deep gratitude,

    Rep. Buxton
