Road Update: Waterbury

Please note – this is as of 10:25 AM Friday morning:

As reported earlier, Main Street in Waterbury is CLOSED for repairs to the sinkhole. We are also doing major trash pickup so there are haulers everywhere. There are several detours but traffic is intense.

From I-89:
To get to Thatcher Brook Primary School, from Exit 10 turn North into Rt 100 (towards Stowe)

Turn right onto Stowe Street and head down to Thatcher Brook Primary School. It will be on your left. You can park up behind the school (turn left onto High Street) or park on the street.

From Bolton (Rt 2 East)
You may want to turn left at the Rt 2/ Rt 100 intersection and follow the directions above; if traffic is flowing you may be able go straight and then turn left onto Stowe Street.

From Middlesex (Rt 2 West)
You will be detoured onto Demeritt Place to go through the GMCR complex. The traffic is heavy so go slow!

Traffic is VERY heavy – please park wisely! Be prepared to walk or take detours after you’ve gotten your work assignment.

And please bring water or a lunch if you can – we are having a hard time keeping up with food demand.
