Notice from the Natural Resources Board
Post-Irene Emergency Protocol: Gravel and Rock Fill
Act 250 does not have a procedure allowing for the emergency extraction of gravel and rock from either permitted or unpermitted sites. Under the appropriate circumstances, the Natural Resources Board will not enforce technical or minor violations associated with the emergency extraction of gravel or rock in light of the Irene disaster.
PLEASE NOTE that extraction from or near any water body will not be allowed without consent by ANR officials.

All requests for emergency gravel extraction should be made to the appropriate Act 250 District Office.
