Information for Towns and Cities

From Rutland Planning Commission:

  • Review and update your town’s Basic Emergency Operations Plan with phone numbers of new town officials (many BEOPs are from 2011 and 2010 and are out of date)
  • Be mindful of the elderly and of residents who rely on electricity for medical needs
  • Clear culverts and storm drains, and remove equipment/materials near streams
  • Fill up vehicle and chainsaw fuel tanks; sharpen chainsaws if needed
  • Prepare to open a shelter in town and ensure the public knows which building will be used
