From Restoring Rutland and Roots the Restaurant:
Join us on Wednesday, August 29, from 5 to 9 p.m., Roots the Restaurant and Long Trail Brewing will host Good Night Irene Pig Roast to commemorate the one-year anniversary of Tropical Storm Irene and celebrate Vermont’s resiliency on Wales Street in Rutland.
The event is free and open to the public and will feature live music, dancing and children’s entertainment. Roots will be serving a complimentary pig roast dinner, and Long Trail will have their signature Good Night Irene brew available on tap.
We are asking a donation of $4 for all drafts, and $1 for nonalcoholic beverages. All proceeds will go to Restoring Rutland, the Rutland Area Farm and Food Link and Evening Song Farm. A 50/50 raffle will also be held to help raise funds.
